    PHYSICAL THERAPIST – Responsibilities

    • Identify and meet patients’ goals and needs

    • Promote clients’ healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination

    • Document patient care services

    Skills

    • Proven work experience as a physical therapist

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $60,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year

      OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST – Responsibilities

      • Thoroughly assesses patient’s upper quadrant extremity to determine deficits that inhibit function and cause pain.
      • Assesses patient ‘s ability to perform independent living skills safely and effectively.
      • Designs the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
      • Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
      • Completes a thorough and appropriate SOAP note depicting a patient’s status.
      • Monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed. Seeks consultation, as necessary.
      • Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
      • Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.  This may include assessment of work and home environment and preparation for return-to-work modifications.
      • Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
      • Oversees the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations and OT practice standards.
      • Supervises OT & OTA students completing clinical rotations.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy required upon hire
      • Experience preferred not required
      • OT – Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Kentucky required upon hire AND
      • Deep Physical Agent Modalities (DPAM) – (or willingness to obtain this certification)

        Physical Therapy Assistant Description:

        • Administers Physical Therapist’s plan of care within the scope of license and permitted by the policies and procedures of PRO Physical Therapy.
        • Reports on the condition of the client to the Physical Therapist and makes adjustments in the patient’s treatment program as directed by the Physical Therapist.
        • Makes recommendations for medical mobility equipment and/or orthotics to the Physical Therapist.
        • Educates and trains clients, families, and guardians in home therapy program and in the use of mobility devices and/or orthotics.
        • Communicates with family/guardians and other health care professionals to ensure consistent level of care.
        • Reports on patient progress per PRO Physical Therapy policies and procedures.
        • Complies with Kentucky State Board of Physical Therapy licensure regulations.
        • Assists PRO Physical Therapy administrative staff with other general office tools and cleaning as needed/directed.

        Job Type: Full-time
